I have been woodturning for nearly 20 years and in that time I have demonstrated turning countrywide as well as having won many local and national woodturning awards.
I make one off woodturned gifts that are ideal as wedding gifts or other special occasion gifts. I also make functional woodturned items such as bowls, platters etc. My approach to woodturning is simply to reveal the beauty of the wood. I use only native Irish hardwoods from sustainable sources.

I’m a professional woodturner for the past 35 years. I work mainly for designers, architects and artists turning unique one off pieces and also for joiners and cabinetmakers.

I run woodturning courses from my workshop, in an old farmhouse in the centre of the charming village of, Lignieres de Touraine, France. In the heart of the Loire Valley surrounded by vineyards and orchards.
Throughout the course my aim is to show you the correct and safe way to turn be it is spindle turning, faceplate or chuck turning.
Whether you are just beginning or
advancing your skills, each student will receive the utmost in personal attention. The courses can be tailored to suit your
requirements.
Courses are available in my fully-
equipped workshop. Students will have to opportunity to work on Oneway and Woodfast lathes. With a maximum of five students per course.
For overseas students the closest airport is Tours, which is approx 40 minutes away. There is a number of charming guest houses and restaurants close by that I can recommend.
